My name is Jennifer Wall and I was born and raised in Taber, Alberta. I have a wonderful family which includes my husband, George and my happy-go-lucky dog, Toby. I also have two amazing parents, three older brothers, five sisters-in-law, and more nieces and nephews than I can count. I am very close to my family and enjoy spending time with them on a regular basis.
When I'm not with my family or my students, there is a good chance you can find me on the volleyball court, the soccer field, or coaching a team of some sort. I played a variety of competitive sports throughout high school and I now enjoy them recreationally. Whenever the weather cooperates, I also love to be outside breathing in the fresh air. On a more relaxed note, I enjoy working on logic puzzles and kicking back with a cup of tea and a good book.
I LOVE to travel and experience new cultures whenever I get the chance. I had an amazing opportunity right after high school to do some volunteering overseas. I spent 2.5 months in Cambodia working in different orphanages teaching English, bible lessons, and organizing games and activities. This was a life-changing experience that I will not forget and it is my hope that I can pass on the valuable lessons I learned there to my future students. Now that I have experienced a new culture, many more have been added to my bucket list!
My faith is a large part of who I am as well. As a baby, I was baptized in the Anglican church that my father pastored. Since then, I have attended a variety of different Christian churches and come to the conclusion that it's really about loving Jesus and serving Him. Whether or not I am able to celebrate my faith in my profession, my character will always reflect my beliefs.
I am very excited to finally begin my teaching career and I hope my enthusiasm spreads to my students!
